Meet Lindsay Detlie, LCSW
Lindsay Detlie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience in individual and group therapy. She completed her Masters in Social Work in 2015 from Virginia Commonwealth University and became fully licensed in January of 2019. She has spent the last three years providing trauma-informed psychotherapy to individuals impacted by sexual violence in the Charlottesville community.
Lindsay provides therapy with a psychodynamic foundation and highly values the therapeutic relationship as a tool for healing and change. She integrates Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and other experiential modalities to build deeper self-compassion and reintegrate negative experiences and beliefs.
Lindsay offers treatment to help with a spectrum of concerns, including:
•family of origin issues
•issues of identity
•culturally based trauma
She loves working with folks wanting to more deeply understand themselves and heal from fundamental past experiences that continue to impact them today. She believes in honoring all identities of an individual and being aware of how her own identities show up in the therapy room.
Lindsay has lived in Charlottesville for three years and looks forward to building deeper roots here. She is a self-proclaimed movie/music geek and can almost always name "that guy" from "that thing." She enjoys spending time with horses and connecting with her close friends.
Lindsay's fees are $95 for individual therapy and $115 for Intake sessions. Lindsay currently accepts Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield and Aetna and will help submit reimbursement as an out of network provider.
Lindsay is currently unable to accept new patients.
