Cristin Brew is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She has over sixteen years of clinical experience in a variety of settings including community mental health, LGBTQ counseling programs, hospice, and university counseling services.

 

Cristin works from a psychodynamic and attachment-focused perspective and incorporates trauma-informed care including the use of Attachment-Focused Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (AF-EMDR).

•Existential and Spiritual Issues

Cristin is passionate about creating space for people to unfold naturally, reprocess past trauma, and come to a deeper understanding of their unique journeys through life. She is inspired by the vast and varied components that make up any given human being and believes that each therapeutic relationship is unique. As a former educator, Cristin is especially devoted to working with children and teens. Her work is social justice-oriented and she is mindful of the impact that power and privilege have on our capacity to thrive. 

 

Cristin is originally from Virginia and has recently returned after spending 24 years in Northern California. She is delighted to be living close to family again. In her downtime, Cristin enjoys hiking, reading, and spending time with her wife and dogs.
